![]() The map isn't as wide, so if you build a base somewhere central, it doesn't really take you that long to come and go. Base building is improved in this game, with things like the large room and glass roofs, so it incentivises you to invest in a cool base. I'm seeing it more as a Seamoth+, and I plan to return from expeditions to my main base where I have extensive storage, plants and chargers. It doesn't have the space and flexibility that the cyclops does, and I've stopped expecting it to be that. If it's a longer journey, you could take the whole thing but detatch the cabin when you get there. If I know I'm going into a tight cave system, I'll often take just the cabin, or the cabin + storage module. Don't expect to take the whole thing everywhere.I've gotten into the habit of pausing outside the base, collecting anything I need from storage, and then disconnecting the modules before pulling the cabin into the moonpool. ![]() It also puts it at a sharp angle so the game won't let you enter them - annoying if you've left something in storage. That's the easy option, but it leaves the modules in an awkward position and it's hard to reconnect when you leave your base. If you drive the whole thing up, the moonpool will pick up the cabin and leave the rest sitting out there.
